Filipinos now have greater peace of mind with the nationwide rollout of the Unified 911 system. The new hotline integrates police, fire, medical, and disaster services into one reliable number, ensuring faster response and improved public safety.
With just a single call to 911, first responders can be dispatched within three to five minutes. The system uses GPS-based location tracking, allowing emergency teams to pinpoint callers with precision. It also supports voice, text, and video, giving responders real-time information to make better decisions on the ground.
The Unified 911 is a joint effort of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), PLDT Inc. and ePLDT, NGCS Inc., and NGA 911 Philippines, the local arm of U.S.-based NGA 911 LLC. The technology, already used in the United States and Europe, replaces fragmented local hotlines with one universal number.
