How is NGA 911 implemented?
The NGA 911 solution is a Solution as a Service (SaaS) deployment model. Other than network equipment there is no physical equipment required at the PSAP. Our SaaS model is deployed in the AWS cloud making it easier to install and provides higher availability, scalability and flexibility than a data center model.
Why a Cloud-based solution?
Cloud computing provides a simple way to access servers, storage, databases, and a broad set of application services over the internet. Cloud-based solutions are easy to install and maintain, do not require new facilities or hardware, and are dynamically scalable to adjust to varying loads.
How long does it take to set up an NGA911 operation from start to finish?
The deployment of the NGA 911 solution takes 9 to 12 months. The OSP aggregation and the deployment of the ESInet take up the majority of this time.
