DILG launches 911 hotline unifying police, fire, medical responses

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Thursday launched the nationwide Unified 911 emergency hotline, consolidating more than 30 local numbers into a single service aimed at faster, more coordinated responses.

The initiative, unveiled at a ceremony at PLDT Sampaloc in Manila, is designed to reduce delays and confusion caused by fragmented local hotlines while improving access to police, fire, medical, and disaster services.
