Did you know that NGA 911 created the first end-to-end i3 conformant NG9-1-1 solution on the market?
Now you might be thinking, Wait, what? I thought NGA 911 was a new company.
Young, but not new to Public Safety.
We got our start in 2015 when NGA 911 CEO and co-founder Don Ferguson developed an application that created a bridge between at-risk youth and the resource officers assigned to their schools. The app, kind of an "easy button," connected kids to officers any time, night, or day. When Don asked the officers if they were ok with this, they said without hesitation, "Yes, of course, is there any other way? These are my kids."
At that moment, Don says he realized two things, 1) the level of responsibility that the officers take in serving our communities, and 2) given that level of responsibility, it is necessary to fix a broken 9-1-1 system. As many of you can recognize from your own journey, that was the moment Don was bit by the public safety bug.
Don's work required an appearance before the FCC, who asked, "Why not use this technology for Next Generation 9-1-1?" This question was the springboard that pushed the development of a solution to save more lives via reliable NG9-1-1 services.
As the scope grew, so did Don's understanding of the need for a worldwide switch over to modern, interoperable, and reliable public safety technology. He became a member of President Barack Obama's Technology and Innovation brainstorming team to plan the nationwide move away from antiquated technology and began recruiting the brightest minds in tech and public safety to build a revolutionary NG9-1-1 solution.
NGA 911 was built in the care of a team with 500+ combined years in 9-1-1.
As the first installations of Next Generation 9-1-1 rolled out in 2013, our team members experienced those new systems in PSAPs, as Public Safety Consultants, First Responders, NENA Presidents, in i3 working groups, and as Network Engineers. They saw firsthand the problem that legacy debt created with the new systems and how much over-the-top patching was required to make them work. And, that without end-to-end i3 conformant technology, the dream of resilient and robust, highly available technology would remain out of reach.
We built our i3 conformant NG9-1-1 solution from the ground up to serve you better.
Don pulled together public safety and tech people with a shared vision of changing the face of 9-1-1. Our mission is to improve emergency response with tools built on a cloud-based, fully compliant i3 solution. In a 2019 evaluation of Next Generation Core Service providers in California, the California Governor's Office of Emergency Communications (Cal OES) awarded their only perfect technical evaluation score to NGA 911 for their regional deployments. This evaluation included i3 compliance, project management capabilities, deployment capabilities, and ongoing support.
NGA 911 solutions are carrier and vendor agnostic allowing you to seamlessly integrate new technology through innovative, collaborative techniques with a dedicated team at your service 24x7x365. The NGA 911 cloud-based Next Generation Core Services translates to faster call processing times, increased resource efficiency, quicker response times, and control over your data enabling better decision making during planned and unplanned events.
Our NG9-1-1 solution is powered by AWS, the leading cloud provider for federal, state, and local governments across the country. The beauty of the cloud is two-fold. One, it's self-healing, resilient and scalable no matter what man-kind or mother nature throws your way. Two, with our deployment model, you can bring NG9-1-1 to your community within a matter of months, overcoming many of the political, technical, and financial hurdles encountered when replacing legacy 9-1-1 infrastructure.
Next Generation 9-1-1 is our singular focus because Public Safety is yours.
Being the new kid on the block is a good thing. We don't have to break free of legacy thinking to meet ever-evolving technology demands. Nor do you have to wait years for the tools you need today.
We understand the unique problems that you are facing. Let's talk next steps about how we can solve your problems with the technology you need for today, tomorrow, and all those unplanned moments in between.
